Our Club

What you might expect on a typical club night!

Every month on the 3rd Monday evening

Monthly club nights are made up from a variety of different elements and will usually include either a guest or professional woodworker from one speciality or another to demonstrate their particular skills or,
a Hands On evening when attendees are invited to try out new techniques under supervision using the clubs own machinery and equipment.

A competition

Members are invited to make a specific item and enter their artefacts into the competition, the entries are given points by members and ranked accordingly, there are no prizes except a round of applause and the fun of taking part!!

Display Table

(I made this!)

Members are encouraged to show what they`ve made recently and discuss any special techniques they used in the manufacture of the artifact. The maker can even get a valuable insight from how other members would have done it.

(What you do is ..)

The club  has a wide selection of books, DVD's and magazines on a wide range of wood working topics available to borrow at minimum cost.

(Wot no egg custards?)

Just for fun, generous members donate almost anything for the benefit of club funds and a laugh!!

Sale Table

(That looks useful ..)

Various items from members workshops that are no longer wanted, needed, replaced, superseded or duplicated are made available to members at bargain prices.

(Jammy dodgers. Yes!)

Our evenings are divided in two by a welcome tea/coffee and biscuit break which gives members the chance to socialise.
